Charles Watts expects Dani Ceballos to stay on at Arsenal for another season – but doesn’t believe the club will sign him permanently this summer.

During a recent video on his YouTube channel, the Arsenal correspondent for Goal discussed the 23-year-old’s future and shared his view on what might happen with regards to the player on loan from Real Madrid.

Watts said: “I don’t think it’s going to be a permanent signing, I do think Ceballos might well come back now, but I think it’s going to be a loan with an option to turn it permanent at the end of next season.”

TIF Thoughts…

Ceballos suffered a muscle injury in November which saw him miss 11 games but to his credit, since the Premier League’s restart, he has turned in some highly rated performances versus Southampton, Norwich City and Leicester City (as per WhoScored.com).

According to Transfermarkt.co.uk, the player is valued at £28.8m, although it was recently reported that Real Madrid would be willing to consider selling him to the Gunners at the price of €25m (£22.74m). It is not known whether Mikel Arteta’s side have the finances available to land Ceballos on a permanent deal this summer, but judging by Charles Watts’ comments, another loan deal is not out of the question.
