Sheffield Wednesday-focused Twitter account @VitalWednesday recently posted a tweet that shared a link to a report discussing the future of Morgan Fox.

This report, which cites TEAMtalk as the original source of this news, discusses the Owls’ “difficulties” with extending Fox’s current deal with the club, with his contract set to expire at the end of June at present.

TEAMtalk recently published an article revealing that the 26-year-old left-back is being targeted by clubs in England’s top-flight and Scotland’s top-flight as well as other Championship sides, as his Hillsborough deal winds down with the club reportedly struggling to come to terms with the player on an extension.

This post from @VitalWednesday sharing this news has caught the attention of plenty of Owls fans who have flocked to this tweet to have their say on the player, who is currently valued at £720k according to Transfermarkt.

Some Owls fans shared that they wouldn’t be too upset to see Fox depart from the club.

While some Owls fans acknowledged the 26-year-old’s ability, they also seemed to think that Fox leaving the club wouldn’t be a disaster.

Would you be sad to see Morgan Fox leave Sheffield Wednesday?

NO

However, one Wednesday supporter did share some concern in response to this news, stating that he doesn’t think that the club can afford anyone better than Fox.

Fox has made 26 Championship appearances for the Owls this season, earning an average overall rating of 6.81 from those games according to WhoScored. This makes him Wednesday’s joint-seventh highest rated player in the league for the 2019/20 campaign and with that in mind, it may be fair to say that he has been one of the club’s better players this term and they may struggle to replace him should he depart from the Owls this summer.
