Some Celtic fans have been fuming at the latest comments that Kris Boyd recently made about the Parkhead club.
Boyd was recently talking to Sky Sports (via Daily Record) and he hailed the Hoops’ Glasgow rivals’ permanent signing of Ianis Hagi. While praising the Romanian, Boyd said that they should ‘build a team around’ players like Hagi and went on to claim that ‘there’s no doubt’ Celtic will face ‘problems’ in winning the title next season.
The Daily Record relayed Boyd’s comments on Twitter as well. Many Celtic fans flocked to it and were angry with what Boyd had to say.

Can Hagi stop Celtic from winning 10IAR?
No chance!

Great to see the clown smiling again. The pain was beautiful but we needed a break from it. It’s the hope that makes it all worthwhile ?

Here we go, endless amounts of this absolute drivel right up until their season is over again next year and then it will be repeated all over again.

Celtic had been 13 points clear at the top of the table in the Premiership before football in Scotland was suspended. While the Hoops had been knocked out of the Round of 32 in the Europa League, they had won the League Cup and had reached the semi-finals of Scottish Cup (via Transfermarkt).
The league getting cancelled two weeks ago saw them awarded the Premiership title for the ninth season in a row, and next season offers them the chance to make it 10.
More Celtic fans seemed clear in their intentions to use the recent title win to mock what Boyd said.
Sevco are Close season champions again. Get yourselves sorted Celtic this is getting embarrassing. ?????????????????????????

That’s the 10 confirmed then.

These Celtic fans don’t really have a liking for Boyd and clearly have not reacted well to his comments. Considering he is a former Rangers player, that is perhaps bound to happen.
While it remains to be seen whether Hagi playing for the Gers as a permanent player will have any effect on the title race, Hoops fans can only hope that the players help them prove Boyd’s comments wrong.
