Some Celtic fans have been talking about a tweet that was relayed by BBC Sportsound recently.
Sportsound’s latest tweet saw them share their latest podcast. It revealed that the panellists would be talking about James Anderson, who has been linked with potentially providing financial support to Scottish league clubs. The tweet also talked about the Player of the Year awards in the Premiership and that Tom English has gone for Odsonne Edouard to win the accolade – asking fans whether they agreed.
This tweet attracted a lot of Celtic fans. Some Celtic fans talked about English’s decision to go for Edouard in the Player of the Year debate.

A couple of Celtic fans also talked about the issue involving Hearts and Ann Budge, and why the club’s owner is trying hard to keep her team in the division.
No-one is asking the obvious question – Hearts have just been shafted by Scottish clubs. Why would Ms Budge bring in her friend’s money to help them out…? I’ll wager right now – Hearts will STILL be in the top flight next season. Any takers…?

Meanwhile, a Celtic fan quote-tweeted this tweet from Sportsound and labelled their show ‘mental cruelty’. That attracted other Celtic fans, who talked also about the podcast in a negative manner.
It’s tough.

Clearly, there are a variety of opinions about the BBC Sportsound podcast. While some have claimed they don’t like the podcast for the inclusion of Rangers in general, the latest tweet doesn’t even have any reference to the Gers, aside from perhaps Alfredo Morelos’ chances of winning the Player of the Year award.
As for their negative reactions about Anderson and Hearts, the SPFL has held positive discussions with him in recent days. SPFL chief Neil Doncaster has hailed Anderson’s offer as a ‘generous’ one and if this does go through, it will only help the clubs financially. So in that sense, Celtic fans shouldn’t be too worked up about these recent events.
