An article that was recently published by Sport Witness has shared an update on the chase for Said Benrahma’s signature, with Chelsea, Arsenal, and Leicester City all reportedly targeting a move for the Brentford playmaker.

This report includes a link to a tweet that was recently posted by RMC Sport’s Mohamed Bouhafsi who has revealed that these three Premier League clubs are all “interested” in the Algerian playmaker.

We will look at Marcelo Bielsa to kick off this quiz on the Championship's managers, which of these national teams has the Leeds United boss managed?

However, while all three of these clubs are said to be interested in the player, Bouhafsi has indicated that Chelsea may be taking their interest a step further than the other two clubs at present, as this tweet reveals that the London-based club have “entered into discussions” with the 24-year-old’s representatives, though are yet to submit an official offer for the player.

If Bouhafsi’s latest update on Benrahma is to be believed, then it appears as though Stamford Bridge could be becoming an increasingly likely destination for Benrahma, should Brentford be tempted to sell the player who is currently valued at £9.45m according to Transfermarkt, despite the alleged interest of Arsenal and Leicester City.

TIF Thoughts…

This season, according to WhoScored, Benrahma has scored 10 goals and provided seven assists in the Championship, in addition to having earned an impressive average overall rating of 7.40 from his 34 Championship appearances this term.

This makes him the second-highest rated player to have made more than the average number of appearances in the Championship during the 2019/20 campaign, according to WhoScored

Additionally, only one Championship player who has made more than the average number of appearances this term has completed a higher number of dribbles per game than Benrahma has made this season.

With all of that in mind, it might be fair to say that the playmaker has been one of the best players in England’s second-tier this season and he may deserve a chance to showcase his ability at a higher level. This may indicate why Lampard is said to be interested in the 24-year-old.
