Supporters of Wolverhampton Wanderers have been flocking to footage from training which was released on social media by the Old Gold.

On Saturday, the Molineux club posted the footage which was recorded during a contact training session at Compton Park (per Wolves).

The footage showed the squad playing a practice match in training in which the ball was squared to Pedro Neto and an open goal was gaping.

However, with the finish looking as though it would be a certainty, Romain Saiss appears out of nowhere and is able to make a last-ditch block on the line.

The Old Gold accompanied this footage post by stating: ‘What a Block! Romain Saiss out of nowhere to deny Pedro Neto’.

Wolves’ footage comes after it was revealed last Wednesday that Premier League shareholders had unanimously voted for players to resume contact training (per Wolves).

The vote was viewed as another step towards the Premier League returning to action, and a day later it was announced that the league would be returning on 17th June (per Wolves).

However, after the training footage was released by Wolves on social media, lots of the Molineux faithful flocked to it to air their reactions.

With many Wolves fans paying homage to Saiss, the 30-year-old’s average rating for the season so far may allude to why so many supporters are keen on the player.

Over 25 Premier League appearances this term, the defensive midfielder has earned a respectable 6.83/10 average rating, which has made him the Old Gold’s eighth-best performer (per WhoScored).

However, while some Wolves fans praised Saiss, others mentioned the fact that Neto had missed an open goal similarly to how he had done in the Europa League earlier this season (per talkSPORT).

A couple of fans even raised questions about Raul Jimenez’s whereabouts.

As can be seen in the responses of the majority of Wolves fans, though, they were keen to gush over the club’s Moroccan defensive midfielder after the footage was posted to Twitter.
