Ghanaian publication Kickgh.com has claimed that Premier League Wolverhampton Wanderers are targeting 22-year-old Hapoel Tel Aviv midfielder Emmanuel Boateng ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.

Boateng joined Hapoel Tel Aviv back in September 2018. The Israeli side spent £41k to secure the midfielder’s services. Now, the 22-year-old is valued at £270k according to Transfermarkt

Boateng has made 23 appearances in all competitions this season for his current club. As per Transfermarkt, the Ghanaian has showcased a large degree of versatility this term, as the website lists him as having played multiple games in a central midfield role, an attacking midfield role, and a defensive midfield role for Hapoel Tel Aviv this term. This ability to play in a variety of different roles in the midfield may be seen as a positive by the clubs who are said to be showing interest in the 22-year-old and this may be one of the traits that caught the eye of Wolves’ scout.

TIF Thoughts…

According to Kickgh.com, when he worked with Leicester City, Wrigglesworth played “a key role” in the signing of Riyad Mahrez, who the Foxes signed for just £450k back in January 2014 and N’Golo Kante, who Leicester signed for £8.1m in August 2015. Transfermarkt currently values Mahrez at £43.2m, whilst Kante is currently valued at £72m by Transfermarkt

With all of this in mind, it may be fair to say that Wrigglesworth has shown that he can spot players before they become stars and his endorsement of Boateng may be exciting news for Wolves fans if they can successfully attract the midfielder to Molineux.
