Supporters of Wolverhampton Wanderers have been gushing over Willy Boly after the club posted about the French defender on social media.
On Monday, it was two years to the day since the Old Gold signed the centre-back on a permanent transfer (as per Wolves).
To mark the occasion, Wolves shared a highlights reel of the 29-year-old defender to social media and stated: ‘Willy Boly became a permanent member of the pack two years ago’.
Boly initially spent one season on loan with the Molineux club during the 2017/18 term before Wolves paid £10.8 million to secure his permanent arrival from FC Porto (per Transfermarkt).
Since then, the imperious defender has made 102 appearances for Nuno Espirito Santo’s outfit in which he has bagged eight goals and three assists (per Transfermarkt).
With a market value of £13.05 million, Boly will only have one season remaining on his contract with Wolves following the conclusion of this term (per Transfermarkt).
However, after the club posted the footage of the Frenchman to Twitter to mark two years since his permanent signing, fans gushed over Boly.

After a further delve into Boly’s defensive statistics, it becomes clear just how valuable the 29-year-old is to the Old Gold due to his defensive presence.
This season, the Frenchman has made the joint-second-most tackles (2.7) and the most interceptions (1.9) per league game on average in Wolves’ squad, clearly convincing supporters of his abilities.
