West Ham United fans have been provided with an update on the injury situation at the club by @ExWHUemployee during a recent edition of the West Ham Way podcast

The Hammers recently took part in a friendly match with Championship club Queens Park Rangers as both prepare for the resumption of their seasons. Ahead of the big restart, @ExWHUemployee revealed that Aaron Cresswell is carrying “a knock” and that he and Angelo Ogbonna are the two “doubts” within Moyes’ squad.

He did say, however, that David Moyes was hopeful he’d have a fully-fit squad to select from for the game against Wolverhampton Wanderers which is scheduled to take place on 20 June at the London Stadium.

He also mentioned that Jack Wilshere took part in the friendly, suggesting he could be in contention to feature in the Premier League for the first time since October.

TIF Thoughts…

West Ham currently find themselves in a precarious position, 16th in the division and level on points with Bournemouth in the drop zone (via premierleague.com). They face a difficult opponent in Nuno Espirito Santo’s Wolverhampton Wanderers side in their first game back. The Molineux-based club are sixth in the table and hoping to continue their pursuit of a UEFA Champions League qualification place.

Moyes will no doubt be hopeful of having Cresswell and Ogbonna fit enough and available to start the game. The left-back has appeared 23 times in the Premier League this season and despite being a defender, has proven himself to be a threat in the attacking third, scoring three goals in the league (as per Transfermarkt.co.uk).

Ogbonna has also been a regular at the back for the Irons, starting 83% of their league fixtures since the start of the campaign.
