In-the-know journalist @ExWHUemployee has aired his belief that Jack Wilshere should be getting minutes on the pitch for West Ham United.

Over the season as a whole so far, the English midfielder has made only six Premier League appearances for the London Stadium outfit (per Transfermarkt).

In the two games since the league returned to action, the 28-year-old has not featured for a single minute against Wolves and Tottenham Hotspur as he has remained on the bench.

So, in the latest episode of The West Ham Way Podcast, @ExWHUemployee stated that he believed the former Arsenal man should be getting minutes instead of Mark Noble.

To start this quiz on Mark Noble with a tough one, in what year did the midfielder make his league debut for the Hammers?

He said: “If Wilshere is fit – now I know he hasn’t played consistently for years now, but certainly [hasn’t been] playing consistently for West Ham – I would play Wilshere over Noble now.

“I think Wilshere offers more, if Wilshere can get anywhere near the player he was at his peak.

“Sadly, I’m not sure that he can but at the moment, it’s got to be worth a try over Noble.

“I’ve been one of Noble’s biggest defenders over the years but I agree with you, I don’t think his performances have been up to standard at the moment.”

TIF Thoughts…

As can be seen in what the in-the-know journalist had to say, it seems that he believes that Wilshere may offer more to the team than Noble is currently doing.

Do you think David Moyes should be starting Jack Wilshere over Mark Noble?

No, Noble is better

No, Noble is better

Yes, it's worth a try

Yes, it's worth a try

However, over his six league appearances for West Ham this season, Wilshere has earned a weak 5.99/10 average rating which has left him as the side’s second-worst performer (per WhoScored) and would suggest that he would not offer all that much.
