The Athletic reporter Sam Delaney has recently slated the vice-chairman of West Ham United Karren Brady during a Hammers-related podcast.

Brady has held her position with the Irons since David Gold and David Sullivan took over the London club in January 2010 (per BBC).

During the current viral outbreak, the Baroness caused somewhat of a stir after she aired her belief that the Premier League season should be null and void if it was not completed (per The Sun).

Despite later defending her comments on Twitter, in the latest episode of the Athletic’s U Irons podcast, Delaney criticised Brady and referred back to her null-and-void comments.

He said: “I tell you what, I think that it [null and void remarks] was just another embarrassing outburst by one of the people who runs our club.

“Karren Brady, like David Sullivan, never fails to find new and imaginative ways to humiliate us. It just looks pathetic and self-serving.

“Crucially, I think it does send a bad message to the players, because whilst David Moyes is trying to say: ‘Lads, we’re good enough, we’re going to do this, stay focused. We’ve got the quality, you’re great, lads – we’re going to do it,’ you’ve got the owner of the club, not for the first time – and I doubt for the last – undermining that message by more indirectly saying: ‘Listen, we haven’t got much faith in this team staying up, so what we’ll try and do is find other avenues to avoid relegation.

“It’s pathetic and embarrassing.”

TIF Thoughts…

As can be seen in what the journalist had to say on Brady’s comments while football was suspended, Delaney has a very withering view of Brady.

Do you agree with what Sam Delaney had to say on Karren Brady's comments?

Yes, it's a fair opinion

No, it's over the top

No, it's over the top

Perhaps that is unsurprising, however, due to the fact that West Ham’s vice-chairman was widely criticised for sharing her belief that the season should be null and void if not resumed (via Daily Mail).
