In-the-know journalist @ExWHUemployee has suggested one factor which may be West Ham United’s downfall when they face Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Hammers are set to face Nuno Espirito Santo’s outfit at the London Stadium in their first game back on Saturday afternoon (per BBC).

When the two sides met earlier in the season, the London club suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of the Old Gold at Molineux in December (per BBC).

However, in the latest episode of The West Ham Way podcast, @ExWHUemployee speculated that Adama Traore could be the major deciding factor in the upcoming clash.

He said: “I think when we played Newcastle and they had Allan Saint-Maximin, who has similar pace to Traore, and look what happened there.

“So, I think obviously it’s a different flank, but still, I do believe that pace is an issue for us still in our current team.

“When you look at that team, there’s no one that really stands out with pace. Obviously [Ryan] Fredericks and a few of the younger lads and [Jarrod] Bowen maybe, but there’s no one that you think: ‘Wow, we’ve got a really pacey team’, and it’s so important now.

“So yeah, it is a massive concern. Then we go to Tottenham and I actually think out of those two matches, I’d have been more hopeful for the Spurs game because we won there last year.”

TIF Thoughts…

As can be seen in what the podcast pundit had to say, it seems that Traore’s pace has led @ExWHUemployee to be more confident about playing Spurs than Wolves.

Could Adama Traore be the difference in the game against Wolves on Saturday?

No, we can handle him

The fact that the Spaniard picked up the fourth-highest match rating of all the players to feature when the two sides met earlier in the season (per WhoScored) would seem to suggest that Traore could again play a key part.
