Fans of West Ham United have been reacting to a report which has emerged on the Hammers’ loanee striker Jordan Hugill.
According to Football.london, the forward on loan with Queens Park Rangers is ‘unlikely’ to have his stay at Loftus Road made a permanent one.
Therefore, the striker will likely be returning to the London Stadium upon the expiry of his loan deal with QPR.
The Englishman left the Hammers last summer on a season-long loan switch to the Loftus Road club (per QPR).
In his interview upon his signing for QPR, the forward stated that he wanted to get his head down and make his mark for his loan club, however, Football.london’s report suggests that he may have been unsuccessful to that end.
Over 35 appearances for QPR in the Championship this season, Hugill has been the side’s third-highest scorer with 11 league goals (per WhoScored).
However, after the report on the 27-year-old forward being ‘unlikely’ to make a permanent move to Loftus Road was shared to West Ham fans on Twitter (via @whufc_news), supporters aired their reactions.
Queens Park Rangers are ‘unlikely’ to make Jordan Hugill’s loan move from West Ham permanent. The forward is keen to prove to David Moyes that he is good enough to play in his team.

He’s an ok championship player at best, not sharp/quick enough for the premiership and shows again our planning under Sullivan in the transfer market is outdated…..when will the guy learn

While Hugill’s goal record for QPR in the Championship is fairly respectable, having the third-highest poor ball controls per league match for QPR (2.3) is not overly inspiring.
Basically. We need him for championship footie next season.

Behave he was a massive blight on Moyes’s first reign, now an embarrassment that QPR don’t even want him, Moyes needs to be drilled

The 27-year-old striker signed for the Irons during the 2018 January transfer window for a fee in the region of £10million from Preston North End (per BBC).
However, after making only three appearances for the London club since then (per Transfermarkt), some fans wanted him to be given a chance.
Should Jordan Hugill be given a chance in West Ham's first team next season?Yes, he deserves oneNo, should be sold |
probably be one of a few that thinks he could do well for us given a chance decent squad player back up to haller he’s good in the air id love him to be given a chance to prove the doubts wrong if we go down he will be number striker cause we ain’t got the money

As can be seen in these responses from West Ham supporters, fans are somewhat divided over the future of the Hammers’ 27-year-old attacker.
