Supporters of West Ham United have been reacting to a tweet from the Hammers which revealed that Nathan Holland has returned from Oxford United.

As revealed by the Irons on Wednesday, the English youngster has returned to the London Stadium after completing his loan spell with the League One club (per West Ham).

In the post on the Hammers’ website that was shared in the tweet, the winger stated that he “really enjoyed” his time with the Us.

He went on to state that his time at the Kassam Stadium had been a “great experience“.

The youngster signed for Karl Robinson’s outfit during the January transfer window on a six-month loan switch (per West Ham).

While with United, the 21-year-old made ten League One appearances in which he scored two goals and provided no assists for Oxford (per WhoScored).

After the Hammers shared the report to West Ham supporters on social media, though, the London Stadium faithful aired their thoughts on Holland returning to the club.

Over his ten appearances for Oxford in League One, though, Holland’s average rating may suggest that he is not the prospect that many fans believe him to be.

In Oxford’s squad, a 6.54/10 average rating in the league left the winger as the eighth-worst performer for the Us this season.

While the majority of supporters were keen on the idea of Holland getting some first-team action for West Ham, others were not as sure.

Despite a few supporters being downbeat on the 21-year-old winger’s return to the club, it was clear that most fans are keen for Holland to get first-team minutes under David Moyes.
