Spurs fans have taken to Twitter to slate the performance of Dele Alli in the 2-0 win against West Ham on Tuesday night.
The former MK Dons man struggled to have much impact on the game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, earning a disappointing 6.22/10 rating for his performance, which saw him rated as the worst Spurs player on the pitch, of those who started the game (per WhoScored). The 24-year-old was substituted just before the hour mark by Jose Mourinho while the game was still goalless, with the hosts then scoring both their goals with the England international off the pitch (per BBC).
The midfielder sat out the game against Manchester United after serving a one-match ban, but failed to impress on his first game back in the side. The Lilywhites now have more than a week’s break until their next fixture, which sees them face fellow top-six hopefuls Sheffield United at Bramall Lane, so it will be interesting to see if Alli maintains his place in the starting eleven for that fixture.
Do you think Alli was poor against West Ham?

No
Reaction from Spurs fans to Alli’s performance can be seen in the tweets below.
Glad Alli is off. He looked like he was afraid of hurting himself. Did he even make one tackle? #coys #thfc #totwhu

Dele alli always looks awful against teams that sit back, he slows everything down, and trots around the pitch, get him off for ndombele, need players who can drop a shoulder and beat someone #THFC

Fans continued sharing their disappointment with Alli’s performance in their tweets.
Alli stinking up the gaff as per usual, not suited for this game. Kane ineffective again. Take Alli, Sissoko and Moura off, bring on Bergwin, Ndombele and Winks #COYS #THFC #TOTWHU

That was pretty painful to watch. Lacking fluidity and creativity. Alli needs to do more if not push GLC up and substitute him with Ndombele. Apart from the ruled out goal, Son has been dreadful. I think Kane is slowly getting into this game. #COYS #THFC

The 24-year-old certainly didn’t win over a lot of Spurs fans with his display against the Hammers.
We have a big problem with Dele as well. He hasn’t been on it for coming on 2 years now and can’t help but think we’d be better of putting Gio further up the field with Tanguy in behind.#COYS #THFC

Dele needs to come off, too rusty atm! #THFC #COYS

Fair result on balance of play. Could gave added another couple of goals with a bit more quality in certain areas. Dele poor….think he might get an extended ‘rest’. Harry much more like it. Bergwijn should have been on for Son not Lucas. Lo Celso and Dier very impressive #THFC

Overall, it seems as if the majority of Spurs fans were less than impressed with Alli’s performance against West Ham and will be hoping to see much better from the £57.6 million-rated man in the remaining fixtures.
