Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to the latest reported news, which suggests that the north London club have opened talks with Beijing Guoan for Kim Min-jae.
According to Chinese news outlet Titan Sports, as per Xinhuanet (via The Spurs Web), Spurs have now opened talks with the centre-back over a potential move to the Lilywhites. The report from Xinhuanet also suggests that the north London club are the favourites to sign the 23-year-old this summer and that South Korean teammate Heung-Min Son could be pivotal in the negotiations.
The young defender has already accumulated 30 caps for his national side and has earned the nickname ‘Monster’ during his playing career, although The Guardian suggests that Everton, Watford, and Southampton are also interested in his signature this summer.
You could argue that Spurs are in need of defensive reinforcements this summer, with the Lilywhites having kept just five clean sheets in the top-flight so far this season. Club stalwart Jan Vertonghen also looks likely to leave, with his contract set to expire at the end of the season.

It seems as if a lot of Spurs are delighted with the update on Kim and would love to see him join the club this summer.
If we’re really interested, we’ll get him easily. I’d LOVE to get him . He’s a monster massive andd will be brilliant with Dier. Son’s pull factor is too big for any other club. N17 bound
