Supporters of Leeds United have been reacting to an update on Jean-Kevin Augustin that was recently relayed to social media.

On Thursday, BBC broadcaster Adam Pope relayed an update on the French striker which had come from the club’s manager, Marcelo Bielsa.

As stated in Pope’s post, the 23-year-old loanee’s progress ‘continues to be monitored’.

The tweet went on to state that Bielsa explained a decision will be taken over whether he will feature again this season ‘once he has been evaluated’.

Augustin suffered a setback following the return to full training after he struggled with a hamstring problem prior to the break in play, and it is still unclear if his loan will be extended beyond the end of this month (per Leeds Live).

However, following the update from the BBC journalist, lots of Leeds supporters aired their responses.

Nice easy one to start. Who is this current Leeds man?

Since the striker arrived at the club during the January transfer window (per BBC), he has neither scored nor assisted in three Championship appearances (per WhoScored).

Should Leeds make Jean-Kevin Augustin's loan stay a permanent one?

No, he's not good enough

Not only has the striker not scored or assisted, but his performances have also been poor, as he has earned an average rating of 5.96/10.

The average rating has made the Frenchman the joint-second-worst performer to feature for the Whites in the league this season.

As can be seen in these responses from Leeds supporters, many are keen for the club to not make Augustin’s loan stay a permanent one.
