Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to some footage of Heung-Min Son giving an interview at Hotspur Way.
The South Korean international spoke to the club about his recent military service and what it is like to be back training with the rest of the first-team squad. The club shared this interview on Twitter, including a quote from the 27-year-old, which said:
“I’ve missed the guys. When I came back, I couldn’t stop smiling, like always!”
During the current suspension of the Premier League, Son returned to South Korea to complete mandatory military service, where he finished in the top five performers (per Sky Sports). Spurs signed the winger from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015 and in nearly five years at the North London club, he has gone on to make 220 appearances, contributing 83 goals and 44 assists in all competitions (per Transfermarkt).
So far this season, the 27-year-old has impressed in his performances in the Premier League, averaging a 7.28 rating, having contributed nine goals and seven assists in 21 appearances (per Whoscored). It had looked as if he could miss the rest of the season when he suffered an arm injury in February, but Jose Mourinho recently confirmed that all of his injured players will be back fit for the Premier League’s resumption later this month.
