On a recent episode of the Last Word On Spurs podcast, Ricky Sacks, Lee McQueen, Jamie Brown and Chris Cowlin discussed the latest goings-on at Tottenham, including the recent inclusion of 18-year-old Harvey White in first-team training.

The academy graduate has been promoted to first-team training in recent weeks and took part in the 11 vs 11 training match against Norwich City last week. Therefore, it was perhaps not a surprise to hear him discussed on a recent episode of the Last Word On Spurs podcast, titled ‘Mourinho’s Preparation‘.

How well can you remember Spurs' season so far? - Who did Spurs beat in the opening fixture?

Sacks prompted a discussion on the young midfielder, saying:

“What we are are also seeing is the versatile Harvey White continuing to be involved in the first team.”

They then make reference to John Wenham, who is an author for the Lilywhite Rose website and seemingly a big fan of the young talent on offer at the North London club, with McQueen saying:

“John said it [during] the week, he’s got the best set piece on him in the whole squad. He’s got a wonderful wand of a left foot and these beautiful set pieces and again, somebody I’m also really excited about.”

TIF Thoughts…

It certainly seems as if White is highly regarded for his ability on set pieces, with the Spurs website describing the youngster as ‘a dead-ball specialist who also filled in at left-back and centre-half’.

Do you think White will get a chance in the remaining fixtures?

Although he is predominantly a midfielder, it certainly seems as if the 18-year-old is versatile and happy to fill in wherever needed. Therefore, when you consider that he has been regularly training with the first-team, and Premier League sides are now allowed to make five substitutions in the remaining fixtures, it would perhaps not be a surprise to see him make his first appearance for the senior side before the end of the season.
