Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have flocked to a tweet that was recently posted by Spurs-focused Twitter account @thespursweb which shares some alleged transfer news regarding Tanguy Ndombele.

The tweet, which cites French publication L’Equipe as the original source of this transfer news, declares that Barcelona, who are said to be ‘long-term admirers’ of Ndombele, are in talks with Daniel Levy to sign the 23-year-old French midfielder on ‘a two-year loan deal with an option to buy, which becomes mandatory under certain circumstances’.

Earlier this week, Ndombele is said to have told Spurs manager Jose Mourinho ‘that he no longer wants to work with him’, as reported by French outlet TF1, via Get French Football News, and now, as per L’Equipe (via GFFN), the 23-year-old is said to be in talks over a move to Catalonia.

After this news about Ndombele was shared on Twitter via @thespursweb, some Tottenham supporters took the opportunity to reply to this post to share their thoughts on this news.

Some Tottenham fans shared that they don’t believe this news, with one Spurs supporter declaring that this ‘would make no sense’.

One Tottenham fan replied to this tweet to share that they would prefer to see Mourinho leave the club than Ndombele.

Do you think that Tanguy Ndombele will leave Spurs this summer?

NO

However, some Spurs fans appeared to be open to the idea of Ndombele departing from the North London club, provided they could secure the services of Dutch Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong in return.

Considering that Ndombele only joined Spurs last summer, with the north London club spending a club-record transfer fee to sign him, it may be understandable why some Tottenham fans have found this reported news difficult to believe and it may be surprising if Tottenham allow the Frenchman to leave the club on a two-year loan deal just one year after spending a reported £53.8m to bring him to north London.
