Fans of Tottenham have been reacting to a post on Twitter, in which Perry Groves discusses Spurs manager Jose Mourinho.
Speaking on TalkSPORT, the former Arsenal player stated that he thought there will be ‘trouble ahead with Jose Mourinho’, before going on to claim that the Portuguese manager’s appointment by Daniel Levy was a ‘gamble’ and that ‘Harry Kane is going to be frustrated’ with Mourinho’s style of play.
In reaction to his comments, which were relayed by The Spurs Web on Twitter, fans of Tottenham have flocked to have their say on the matter, with many suggesting that Groves should concentrate on his former side rather than discussing Spurs.

Of course he will say that. Anything to take away how bad Arsenal are playing right now. Let’s upset the neighbours next door so the pressure is off them.

He should be more concerned about Arsenal right now.

While it is indeed true that Spurs’ north London rivals are also enduring a somewhat turbulent time at present – they currently sit in 10th place in the Premier League table following a 2-1 defeat against Brighton last weekend – Tottenham are certainly not without their own problems.
The club currently occupy eighth place in the table, level on 42 points with Crystal Palace, two behind seventh-placed Sheffield United and nine behind fourth-placed Chelsea in the Champions League places.
However, despite their poor season so far, many Spurs fans have rushed to the defence of their manager.
I dont know. We should evaluate after a year at least. If you look closely, no other Tottenham manager has been critized like mourinho…. its kind of disgusting

Hiring a manager that wins everywhere he goes and has over 27 major trophies to his name is a “gamble”
I think most British pundits needs to get thier heads checked ASAP!!!
He probably thinks ole nd arteta are “the right men for the job” at utd nd arsenal ????— PREASHIOUS (@Freshestpresh) June 22, 2020
This is the worst squad Jose has inherited in his career

As such, despite the club’s relatively lowly league position, it would certainly seem like many of these Spurs fans are backing Mourinho to get them out of their current rut, and do not care much for Groves’ comments on their manager.
