Tottenham Hotspur-focused Twitter account @thespursweb has caught the attention of plenty of Spurs fans after posting a tweet which shares some comments that Paulo Dybala recently made about Spurs’ interest in signing him back in the 2019 summer transfer window.
Dybala has suggested that Spurs were one of the clubs that showed interest in securing the Argentinian’s signature, with the 26-year-old attacker saying that “for a long time there were conversations” between his current club Juventus and interested parties, including Spurs.
The attacker originally made these comments during an interview that he recently conducted with CNN, where he also revealed that despite Juventus coming to the decision that they didn’t want him to continue playing for them last summer, Dybala communicated that his intention was to remain at the Italian club.
Plenty of Tottenham fans have been responding to this tweet from @thespursweb which shares Dybala’s comments about Spurs being one of the clubs that showed interest in signing him last year.

One Tottenham fan responded to this tweet by declaring that they feel Spurs “should still go for” the Juventus man, however, another Tottenham fan shared that they believe Spurs fans need to “get over” the fact that their club didn’t successfully sign the player.
He looks made for us.. like a Ginola or RVV.. should still go for him.

you got to admit, he’s at a bigger club earning more money, if he can stay there, he’ll stay, we need to get over this.

Dybala, who is valued at £64.8 million (as per Transfermarkt), has earned an impressive average overall rating of 7.37/10 from his 24 Serie A appearances this season according to WhoScored, which ranks him as the club’s second-highest-rated player for the 2019/20 campaign. With that in mind, it may be understandable why some Spurs fans regret not signing the Argentinian.
