Fans of Tottenham Hotspur have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report by Alasdair Gold concerning recent decisions made by Spurs chairman, Daniel Levy.
In the Football.london article, Gold discusses the current differences between the two sides – who met in last season’s Champions League final – following the confirmation of Liverpool’s Premier League title, after Manchester City lost to Chelsea on Thursday evening.
Gold gives a damning assessment of Daniel Levy’s transfer strategy, as well as commenting on the lack of progress that the club have made in comparison to Liverpool, stating that ‘Spurs finished above Liverpool in eight of the nine seasons before the last Premier League campaign’.
In reaction to the article, which Gold himself relayed on Twitter, fans of Spurs have flocked to have their say on the matter, with many calling out Levy directly.
Levy has to go

We will never be a big club while Levy and Co are in charge. We want to be in top 4 but have the spending and wage budget of a mid table club.

While Liverpool appeared to use their Champions League final loss in 2018 as a springboard for success, both in European competition and domestically, the same can not be said for Spurs.
Since losing the Champions League final, Tottenham and long-term manager Mauricio Pochettino have parted ways, and the club currently find themselves languishing in seventh place in the Premier League, nine points behind Chelsea in fourth.
Is Levy disgracing the club?
Yes
No
And, as is clear from their comments, it seems many of the Spurs fans blame Levy for their current state of affairs.
The line ups from Klopps first game in charge which was vs Spurs.
Only 3 players remain at Liverpool, 0 played vs Palace. 7 are still Spurs players, 6 playing vs West Ham.
Poch wasn’t the issue, and neither is Mourinho. It’s the lack of wanting to succeed from the hierarchy. pic.twitter.com/m16S6VSV7t

Agree, the transfer lockdown was a major issue, still not recovered, 1 area which needs addressing is player recruitment a much longer list of failures over successes, coupled with Levy being more interested in their value than their fit for success = second best always.

Daniel Levy is a plague on Tottenham and needs to be ousted. His poor decisions especially in recent times and the tight purse strings need to be confronted. I am calling on all Spurs fans to protest against his leadership

As such, it would appear abundantly clear just who Spurs fans blame for their side’s current struggles.
