Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to a reported update on Dele Alli and Eric Dier.
According to Duncan Wright in The Sun (via Daily Hotspur), the FA‘s three-man disciplinary panel are set to meet via video call to discuss whether to ban Dele Alli and Eric Dier, who were both charged prior to the season’s suspension. Alli is facing a three-match ban whilst Dier is also likely to be banned.
The former MK Dons man is facing a ban after he posted a Snapchat video mocking an Asian man and joking about the current viral outbreak. Dier, meanwhile, climbed into the stands following Spurs’ FA Cup penalty defeat against Norwich City in order to confront a fan. The former Sporting Lisbon man was charged by the FA back in April, but it remains unclear whether he will be forced to sit out of any of the Premier League fixtures when the season resumes later this month.
Do you think both players will be banned?

Some Spurs fans were disappointed that the FA are still yet to come to a decision on whether or not to ban the duo.
Seriously they have taken this much time to ban them

Isn’t there a time period they have to make a decision by? Surely that’s passed now.

Other fans bemoaned the fact that Jose Mourinho may not have a full squad available to him when the Premier League resumes in just under two weeks.
As long as we can have Dele against United.. they can ban him after that so that we can get over and done with this

Haven’t even started playing yet and the suspensions are already coming fast and furious. Feels like we never left.

One fan suggested that they both deserve to be banned.

Overall, it seems as if a lot of fans are disappointed with the update on Dier and Alli and will be hoping that any potential bans don’t disrupt Mourinho’s plans too much.
