Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to a report linking their club with a move for Southend United striker Charlie Kelman.
According to the Daily Mail (via Ricky Sacks), the North London club could be set to reignite their interest in the 18-year-old striker, having had a six-figure bid rejected in January. With it announced earlier this week that the League One season would be curtailed, which relegated Southend to League Two, perhaps they will be keen to raise funds by selling one of their brightest prospects in Kelman.
When considering Southend’s dreadful season in the third tier, their 18-year-old striker was arguably a bright spark; he contributed seven goals in all competitions, including five in 18 League One appearances (per WhoScored). The youngster also netted an impressive goal from the halfway line on his professional debut for the Shrimpers in a 3-2 defeat against Plymouth Argyle in January 2019 (per BBC), which can be seen in the footage shared by Sacks on Twitter.

It seems as if a lot of Spurs fans are less than impressed with the transfer rumour.

Overall, it seems as if a lot of Spurs fans aren’t too keen on their club signing Kelman, although after Southend’s relegation, he could come fairly cheap this summer.
