The Saints are currently 14th in the Premier League. They are seven points clear of 18th-placed Bournemouth, but they are also only six points behind ninth-placed Arsenal (via WhoScored).
The club had lost 9-0 to Leicester City back in October, but bounced back by beating Tottenham, Chelsea and the Foxes themselves. They also had a five-game unbeaten run from late December until the second week of January in the Premier League (via WhoScored).
All this shows that Hasenhuttl has indeed done well as the Saints manager. He has shown the capability to lift the team up during tough times. Southampton fans can only hope that the Austrian can help them finish inside the top half of the table this season.
