Supporters of Newcastle United have been reacting to a Twitter post from George Caulkin which gave an update on the supposed takeover of the club.
On Wednesday, The Athletic reporter responded to a question from @andy_husband1 who had asked if there was any news regarding the takeover.
Caulkin responded: ‘Not news really, just waiting for the Premier League’s decision.
‘People close to the buyers but also opponents of the deal have had intelligence that it’s coming very soon, but they’ve also been wrong in the past. Just have to wait.’
So, following the takeover update from the journalist, lots of supporters flocked to it to air their responses.
Not news really, just waiting for the PL decision. People close to the buyers but also opponents of the deal have had intelligence that it’s coming very soon, but they’ve also been wrong in the past. Just have to wait.

It’s the waiting game George – I’ve waited 13 years or so so a little longer is no problem

You know summit, it tweets like this George that confuse & annoy our fans, they start off with what looks like great news but always as a caveat at the end so not to build up too many hopes…. I wish someone would just get off the fence for once!!
