Fans of Newcastle United have been reacting to post on Twitter, which relays quotes from a report regarding the progression of the club’s ongoing takeover bid.
According to reports by Scott Wilson in the Northern Echo, hopes have been raised of a ‘successful resolution’ to the takeover deal, as a result of Saudi Arabia’s ‘public crackdown on broadcasting piracy’.
This comes following the World Trade Organisation’s ruling that ‘Saudi Arabia broke intellectual-property rules‘ regarding pirated television service BeoutQ.
However, Wilson’s report states that ‘sources close to the parties involved in the proposed sale of the Magpies have been making increasingly positive noises in the last 24 hours’.
After quotes from the report were relayed on Twitter by NUFC 360, fans of Newcastle flocked to have their say on the matter, with many fans sharing their delight at the reports.

As is stated in the Northern Echo’s report, the Premier League’s owners’ and directors’ test is now entering its third month, something which has undoubtedly caused Newcastle fans a great deal of distress.
Do you think that the Saudi-backed Toon takeover is more likely to be approved now?
YES
NO
As such, it would appear that these Newcastle fans are not believing the reports, as they state that they have heard it all before.
Let’s hope there is a conclusion soon one way or the other. The constant speculation is no good for nobody.
