Newcastle United fans on Twitter have been reflecting on Nabil Bentaleb’s time at the club so far.

Nice easy one to start off with, which club did Newcastle United sign Shearer from in 1996?

This Twitter post was then captioned with a question to the Newcastle fans asking what they have made of the midfielder’s time at the club so far.

This post then gathered a lot of replies from Newcastle fans who were quick to share their thoughts on Bentaleb and how he has performed for the club during his time at St. James’ Park.

Here’s a sample of Newcastle fans responding to the post:

The 25-year-old, who is currently valued at £3.6 million according to Transfermarkt, signed to Newcastle on a loan deal from Bundesliga side FC Schalke in the previous January transfer window (per Transfermarkt).

Have you been impressed with Bentaleb so far?

Since then, the Algerian has made six appearances for Steve Bruce’s side, three in the Premier League and three in the FA Cup (per Transfermarkt).

Bentaleb’s performances in those three Premier League appearances have resulted in him being awarded a season rating of 6.68/10, making him the 13th highest-rated player in the Toon squad this season (per WhoScored).

Now that this question has been put to these Newcastle fans, this opened the door for lots of fans to share their thoughts on Bentaleb.

However, there was one Newcastle fan responding to the post with a more balanced view on the midfielder.

It seems that the majority of these Newcastle fans have not been that impressed by Bentaleb during his time at the club.

Maybe Bentaleb can use the remaining Premier League games to put in some decent performances and try and get these Newcastle fans back on side and change their minds about himself.
