Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland will apparently move to the Premier League at some point in his career.

This comes after Norwegian journalist and former Middlesbrough centre-forward Jan Aage Fjortoft shared his thoughts on Haaland and where his career may lead him to.

Would you like to see Haaland move to Liverpool at some point in the future?

In a recent episode of the Blood Red podcast, Fjortoft claimed that he thinks Haaland “will end up in England at some stage” in his playing career (25.58).

Earlier in the season, Haaland was linked with a move to Merseyside after Jesse Marsch, Haaland’s former manager at RB Salzburg claimed on an earlier episode of the Blood Red podcast (via Liverpool Echo) that the striker would be an “incredible fit” at Anfield under Jurgen Klopp.

Haaland, who is currently valued at £64.8 million according to Transfermarkt, signed to Klopp’s former team back in January for a fee of £18 million (per Transfermarkt).

Since then, the 19-year-old has gone on to score 13 goals and provide three assists in 14 appearances for Dortmund (per Transfermarkt).

Haaland’s performances in his 11 appearances in the Bundesliga for Dortmund have resulted in the striker being awarded a season rating of 7.63/10, making him the second-highest-rated Dortmund player right now (per WhoScored).

TIF Thoughts…

While Fjortoft has revealed that he can see Haaland moving to England at some point in his career, Liverpool could yet be a suitable fit for the striker.

This is because some of Haaland’s strengths include his finishing, his through balls and his threat during counter-attacks (per WhoScored).

These strengths could suit the Merseyside club as some of their strengths include finishing scoring chances, creating chances with through balls and playing counter-attacking football (per WhoScored).

Therefore, there may be something in Fjortoft’s theory.
