This comes after Addison recently made an appearance on the Liverpool Echo’s Blood Red podcast in their morning bulletin show to discuss the latest news surrounding the Merseyside club.

2018/19 season quiz: How many points did Jurgen Klopp's side accumulate in the Premier League?

On the topic of what the latest updates were from Liverpool’s recent training session, Addison shared some information regarding the fitness of Salah.

He said: “The slight concern for Liverpool is that Mohamed Salah wasn’t pictured [in the training session]. He also missed that game with Blackburn, but we don’t know at this stage how serious it is, it could just be a precaution once again, it could be that he was maybe doing some individual work inside and just wasn’t pictured for that reason so, I don’t think it’s a massive reason at this stage to be too concerned.

“I think it wouldn’t surprise anyone if Mohamed Salah started at the weekend despite the fact he wasn’t in training yesterday, but there’s a sort of slight worry in the sense that he wasn’t pictured, but at this stage, we don’t know for sure so we’ll just have to wait and see, really.

“Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain as well, he was back, got a knock in that Blackburn game, but he appears to be training as normal and finally, Takumi Minamino, he absolutely by all admission is going to be fit and firing and ready to go, and there’s a fair few pictures of him in discussion with Jurgen Klopp yesterday and I suppose if Mohamed Salah does have to miss out, then potentially he could be the one to come in.

“I don’t know quite how that would fit in, but I suppose given what we’ve seen and read and heard over the last few weeks, he seems to be in good form, so maybe there’s a place in the team for him at the weekend if Salah is missing.

“I would expect to see Minamino in some form, whether that’s off the bench or from the start.”

Would Salah be a big miss for Liverpool if he isn't fit to play against Everton?

TIF Thoughts…

Salah has been one of Liverpool’s most important players this season, with his performances in his 26 Premier League appearances resulting in the winger being given a season rating of 7.45/10, making him Liverpool’s second-highest-rated player for this campaign (per WhoScored).

In those appearances, Salah has registered 16 goals, more than any other Liverpool player so far this season (per WhoScored).

If Salah is indeed injured and forced to miss Liverpool’s weekend clash with Merseyside rivals Everton, he would surely be a big miss for the Reds because of his goalscoring prowess this season.
