Since then, Elliott has gone on to make 27 appearances for Liverpool across multiple competitions in numerous age groups including the U19s, the U23s and the Reds’ senior team (per Transfermarkt).

For the senior team, Elliott made three appearances in the FA Cup and three appearances in the Carabao Cup, as well as making a short cameo in the Premier League back in January (per Transfermarkt).

TIF Thoughts…

The fact that Elliott has been trusted to make numerous appearances for the Reds in their cup campaigns this season shows that they have the confidence in him to do a job for the team when called upon.

Now that it has been reported that the winger is close to signing a new three-year deal at the Merseyside club, this proves that they believe he has what it takes to continue his development at the club and perhaps become a regular starter for the team in the future.

It wouldn’t be a surprise to see Elliott make another appearance in the Premier League this year when the season resumes later this month.
