Some Everton fans have been talking about the latest news update involving Allan that emerged on social media recently.

Italian journalist Nicolo Schira recently posted an update involving the Brazilian midfielder. He revealed that the Toffees are now preparing their first bid for the Napoli man and Carlo Ancelotti’s club is ready to offer €30m (£26.7m) to lure Allan to Goodison Park. The journalist said that Everton are also prepared to offer him a wage of €6m (£5.3m) plus bonuses.

To kick off this quiz on the goings-on with the Toffees last week, which brand did the club announce would be their new kit maker in mid-week?

The Gwladys Street relayed this information on Twitter as well. Many Everton fans were alarmed by this news and they flocked to this post. They had different things to say about it.

Some talked about the wages involved in this potential deal.

Are you confident that Everton will sign Allan?

We surely will!

One fan commented on how this could be a ‘ridiculous’ signing for the club because of Allan’s age (29).

Some others felt confident that the deal would happen, with one saying that he had a dream about it. Another fan said that Everton should trust Ancelotti with transfers.

Allan had plied his trade under Ancelotti during their time together at Napoli. This season, Allan has made 24 appearances in all competitions for the Partenopei. He has played 16 Serie A games, scoring once and assisting once (via Transfermarkt).

While signing Allan might be good for Ancelotti since they know each other, the Brazilian has had five different fitness issues this season. All of them have been minor issues, but that may not be a good sign of the future for Allan and Everton. Since he is 29 and not getting any younger, this might be a risky move for the Toffees.
