A recent report in The Telegraph has suggested that Thiago Silva is prepared to take a significant pay cut from his current salary at PSG, in order to ‘fulfil his dream’ of playing in Premier League, with the paper suggesting that both Tottenham Hotspur and Everton could be interested in the 35-year-old.
According to a L’Equipe report last week, PSG have confirmed that the Brazilian international will be leaving the French giants at the end of his current contract, which expires this summer.
The recent Telegraph report has then gone on to claim that the defender is ‘targeting a first move to England’.

The Telegraph went on to state that the player would be willing to take a significant cut to his £1.3million per month wages at PSG, and that Silva could interest both Everton and Spurs, who are both looking to strengthen in the centre of defence this summer.
TIF Thoughts…
Since joining PSG from AC Milan in a £37.80million deal back in 2012, Silva has gone on to make 310 appearances for the French club, scoring 17 goals and providing five assists, as well as winning a remarkable seven Ligue 1 titles and a host of domestic French cups.
This season, despite his age, the 35-year-old has impressed for PSG over his 21 appearances in the league, averaging 1.3 tackles, 1.2 interceptions, 2.5 clearances and 0.7 blocks per game, as well as a very respectable average WhoScored match rating of 6.97.
Would Paris Saint-Germain's Thiago Silva be a good signing for the Toffees?
Yes, it's a no-brainer
No, he's past it now
As such, it would seem that if Silva were to make the move to Everton, Carlo Ancelotti would be gaining an extremely experienced defender, who, although entering the twilight of his career, still possesses the ability to perform admirably in the heart of defence.
