Nice easy one to start. Who is this current Leeds man?

The report claims that the Whites are now in the picture for the Greek international, and he has impressed Marcelo Bielsa, and Leeds could make a move if they are promoted to the Premier League.

The piece finally claims that Barkas has his eyes on a move to the Premier League though other European clubs are interested.

Would you want Barkas to replace Casilla?

TIF Thoughts…

Leeds currently have Kiko Casilla and Illan Meslier as first-team goalkeepers with both having played in the Championship this season.

However, it was claimed by Phil Hay that Leeds could sell Casilla though they intend to sign Meslier on a permanent deal.

This could be because the Spaniard is currently banned for using racist language towards Jonathan Leko, and as a result, Meslier has stepped in and kept two clean sheets from his first three league games.

However, if Leeds are interested in Barkas, as the report claims, then Casilla’s time at Elland Road could be coming to an end.

Barkas, who is valued at £2.16 million (as per Transfermarkt), has made 10 appearances for Greece, and this season for his club he kept 13 clean sheets.

However, for now, Leeds are probably focusing on sealing promotion from the Championship as they are seven points clear of Fulham and play Scott Parker’s men next.

If they can win that, then they should be edging ever closer to automatic promotion.

Then they can talk about transfers once they know what league they are in.
