West Brom-focused Twitter account @BaggiesHQ recently posted a tweet asking Baggies supporters how they would sum up Alan Pardew’s tenure as manager of the club and this post has caught the attention of many West Brom fans who have flocked to have their say on their club’s former manager.

Pardew arrived at The Hawthorns on the 29th of November 2017 and remained in charge of the Baggies until the second of April 2018, only taking charge of 21 games during his time at the club, as per Transfermarkt. When he became the club’s manager, West Brom sat in 17th place on the Premier League table. However, when Pardew left the club, West Brom sat at the bottom of the Premier League table, 10 points from safety.

Many of the West Brom fans who have responded to this post have shared a negative view on Pardew and his time at The Hawthorns, with some Baggies fans describing Pardew’s time at the club as “embarrassing”.

Is Alan Pardew to blame for West Brom's relegation back in the 2017/18 season?

YES, IT WAS HIS FAULT

NO, IT WASN'T HIS FAULT

NO, IT WASN'T HIS FAULT

What do we think?

The Baggies did ultimately end up finishing at the bottom of the Premier League table in the 2017/18 season and it may be fair to say that the club regressed under Pardew. With that in mind, it might not be a huge surprise that these West Brom fans don’t look back fondly on his time at the club.
