Some West Brom fans have flocked to a tweet that was recently posted by Baggies-focused Twitter account @WBAReport who have shared some alleged news that was recently reported by Portuguese publication Record regarding the future of Filip Krovinovic.

As explained by @WBAReport, Record has claimed that the Baggies want to keep Krovinovic, who joined the club on loan from Benfica for the 2019/20 season back in July and are prepared to spend €10m (£8.96m) to bring the Croatian playmaker to The Hawthorns on a permanent basis.

The report goes on to claim that they will move forward with this deal should they earn promotion to the Premier League for next season. Considering that they currently sit in second place in the Championship table, six points clear of Fulham who are their nearest challengers outside of the automatic promotion places, that may be a positive sign for this deal.

Some Baggies fans have been buzzing in response to @WBAReport’s tweet sharing this alleged news. Read the reactions of some Baggies fans to this report on Krovinovic in the tweets below.

To kick off this quiz on 2019/20 Championship goalkeepers, can you name which goalkeeper has kept the highest number of clean sheets in the Championship this season?

Would this be a bargain for West Brom?

YES, OF COURSE

YES, OF COURSE

NO, I DON'T THINK SO

NO, I DON'T THINK SO

What do we think?

This report from Record describes Krovinovic as having been one of the Baggies’ “most influential players” throughout the 2019/20 season and it appears as though these West Brom supporters agree with that assessment, judging from their responses to this post.

However, the 24-year-old playmaker has only managed to provide two league assists, on top of scoring two league goals, in his 31 Championship appearances this season, as per WhoScored. With that in mind, Krovinovic may need to improve his output if he is to justify a place in the Baggies’ Premier League squad for next season, should they get promoted.
