Former Sheffield Wednesday boss Danny Wilson has leapt to the defence of Garry Monk and ‘urged the club’ to give him time to ‘turn their fortunes around’. The 41-year-old has won just 12 of his 35 matches in charge of the club (as per Yorkshire Live), and the fact that the Owls currently find themselves in 15th place in the Championship has raised questions about the former Birmingham City boss’ suitability to the role.
How have former manager Wilson’s comments on the current boss gone down with the Hillsborough faithful?
But he wasn’t working with what he’s got

Should Garry Monk be given more time to turn the club's fortunes around?
Yes
No
It’s clear from the above responses that these fans have lost patience in both Monk’s ability to get more out of this squad and in their owner Dejphon Chansiri’s ability to run a successful football club. Meanwhile, the comments from Wilson have riled some of those supporters who remember his time in charge of the Owls.
Whats it got to do with rat eyes, he was the start of our downfall

And we all know how well it went with Danny Wilson in charge…

At present, Wednesday are eight points off the play-off places – despite them hovering seven places clear of the drop zone. In our view, for a club of that size, it is simply unacceptable. Therefore, we can understand why the supporters have grown frustrated with those currently in charge.
