Sheffield Wednesday-focused journalist Dom Howson recently posted a tweet that shares a link to an article that was recently published by Yorkshire Live featuring some comments from Jose Semedo, who has been discussing his departure from the Owls which occurred back in the summer of 2017

This report quotes Semedo as stating that he “would have stayed” at Hillsborough had he been offered a new contract back in 2017. The Portuguese midfielder, who is currently valued at £90k according to Transfermarkt, describes leaving Wednesday as having been “difficult” for him, revealing that he feels that he “didn’t deserve” to be treated the way that he was by the club at the time.

Plenty of Owls supporters have flocked to Howson’s tweet sharing this article and some of them have also shown some regret over the fact that Semedo’s time at Hillsborough ended back in 2017. Read the reactions of some Wednesday supporters to this post in the tweets below.

This article from Yorkshire Live states that Semedo was a “fan favourite” during his time at Hillsborough. The Portuguese midfielder was also described as a “fan favourite” by Wednesday’s official website in a post which announced that he had signed a one-year deal with the club in the summer of 2016, which is the summer prior to his departure from the club.

Considering that Semedo was so popular with Wednesday’s supporters, it may not be too surprising that plenty of Owls fans have shared praise for their former midfielder in response to this post.
