Some Sheffield Wednesday fans have been buzzing in response to a tweet that was recently posted by Owls-focused journalist Alex Miller who has shared the news that ex-Owls player Sean Clare is set to play in Scotland’s second tier next season as things stand.
Miller’s tweet shares a link to an article that was recently published by The Sheffield Star which explains that the 2019/20 Scottish Premiership season has officially been decided on a points-per-game basis following a board meeting on Monday. This means that Hearts, the team where Clare currently plays his football, are set to play in Scotland’s second-tier next season after being relegated following this decision to call an end to the 2019/20 campaign.
The Sheffield Star’s article also explains that Clare “turned down a new contract” from the Owls before he departed from Hillsborough back in 2018. Considering that Clare turned down Wednesday to join Hearts back in 2018, it may not come as a big surprise that some Wednesday fans have been reacting positively to this news of Clare’s relegation to Scotland’s second-tier.

And to think he would be challenging messi and Ronaldo (in his head) for whatever title he made up (in his head) if he left Wednesday as he is the best player in the world (in his head) ?

Are you happy about this relegation?YESNO |
Remember the Hearts fan who came on here mouthing that he was going to lead them into the Champions League. Clare is another one whose ego far outweighs his talent.

What do we think?
It may be harsh to celebrate another team’s relegation, especially in these circumstances. However, Clare may not be a popular man among the Hillsborough faithful after the way in which he left the club and that may explain the reactions of these Wednesday fans.
