Some Sheffield Wednesday fans have recently taken to Twitter to share that they don’t feel sorry for ex-Owls manager Steve Bruce.

These recent posts from some Wednesday fans come amid speculation that the 59-year-old could see his tenure as Newcastle United boss come to an end following the 2019/20 season, should the reported Saudi-backed takeover of the club officially be completed.

Sky Sports recently reported that Bruce is set to remain in charge at St. James’ Park until the end of the season, with Mauricio Pochettino allegedly being lined up as the club’s “new perspective owners’ number one choice to be the next manager” of the club.

Following these reports, Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp has recently called for Bruce “to be shown more respect”. Meanwhile, Wednesday-focused Twitter account @TheStarOwls have posted a tweet sharing an article from The Sheffield Star, which states that not many Wednesday supporters are likely to feel sorry for Bruce, with some feeling “let down” over the way that he left Hillsborough.

There may be some truth to The Sheffield Star’s article, which makes this claim, as many Wednesday fans have recently been sharing some negative opinions about Bruce on Twitter. Read the unsympathetic posts from some Wednesday supporters who have been discussing Bruce lately in the tweets below.

Considering that Bruce resigned from his position as Wednesday manager amid reports that Newcastle United were interested in appointing him as Magpies boss last summer, as per the BBC, it might be understandable why some Wednesday fans may still hold some negative feelings about the 59-year-old coach.
