Do you believe that Reece Oxford's potential was wasted as he is no longer playing for West Ham?Yes, he was a diappointmentNo, he still has good potential |
Having graduated through the Hammers’ youth ranks, Oxford had loan spells with Reading, Borussia Monchengladbach and Augsburg before his loan spell with the latter was turned into a permanent switch in 2019 (per Transfermarkt).
In total, Oxford made just 17 appearances for the Hammers’ senior side, in which he neither scored nor assisted (per Transfermarkt), as many fans continued to air their belief that his potential had been wasted.

What do we think?
As can be seen in the responses from West Ham supporters, they clearly feel that Oxford wasted his talent as he is not playing for the Hammers in the Premier League.
However, having made eight appearances for Augsburg in the Bundesliga this season (per Transfermarkt), the Englishman is still playing at a high level – just not with the Irons.
