Charlton Athletic’s official Twitter account recently posted a tweet sharing the news that “applications for Claudiu Florica and Marian Mihail under the EFL’s Owners’ and Directors’ Test have been approved”.

This tweet shares a link to an article that was recently posted by the Addicks’ official website which explains that these two “were appointed to the club’s Board of Directors in March following the removal of Matt Southall and Jonathan Heller from the club’s board”.

Furthermore, this post goes on to state that the club is continuing to support the EFL’s ongoing “investigation into the takeover of Charlton Athletic by East Street Investments”, explaining that the EFL have confirmed that they are in the process of “reviewing” some information that the club provided them with last Friday.

On 20th April, Sky Sports reported that Charlton’s current majority shareholder Tahnoon Nimer is still “yet to satisfy EFL requests for proof and source of funding”, in an article which also explained that the EFL would be launching an investigation into East Street Investments’ takeover of the club.

With that in mind, it may be understandable why some Charlton fans appear to be somewhat wary of the club’s owners and Board of Directors.
