Some Celtic fans have been talking about the latest comments that Chris Sutton recently made about Ally McCoist.
McCoist had recently told TalkSPORT that there will be an ‘asterisk’ beside Celtic’s Premiership title win and that his former side could have caught the Hoops in the title race.
However, Sutton recently talked about McCoist on the Record Celtic Podcast over his comments about the Hoops’ title win. Sutton said that McCoist has been ‘on the Bucky’ and that he doesn’t want to ‘admit’ that the Hoops have been the better team.
Many Celtic fans flocked to this tweet from the Daily Record about Sutton. They hailed what Sutton said and expressed their anger at McCoist’s comments too.
Your such a tease Chris and I love it ???

Also happened in 50s they finished level on points with Hibs, with an inferior goal difference again, and were declared champions too @chris_sutton73

McCoist had told talkSPORT that winning the title by playing the season out is the only ‘fair way’ to do it. The former Rangers man said that the Gers were not ‘likely’ to overtake them in the title-race but they ‘still could have’ caught the Hoops before they won the Premiership title. However, McCoist also said that it isn’t a ‘fault of their own’.
What do we think?
Celtic fans clearly seem to have loved what Sutton said about McCoist. Considering the Hoops were 13 points clear at the top of the table and hadn’t lost a single Premiership game in 2020, they were the closest to winning the title. Keeping that in mind and knowing that McCoist has links to Rangers, one can see why Celtic fans aren’t too pleased.
