Some Celtic fans have been talking about the latest tweet involving their former manager Ronny Deila that caught their attention recently.

The Celtic Twitter account recently posted about Deila. The post carried some quotes from an interview that Deila gave to the club’s official website. Deila said that he is ‘proud’ to have managed the Hoops in the past and the club winning their ninth Premiership title in a row is a ‘big achievement’.

Deila had been at Parkhead for two years. He had joined the club in the summer of 2014 and left the club in the summer of 2016. He left the club for Norwegian side Valerenga and is currently managing American club New York City FC (via Transfermarkt).

What do we think?

Celtic fans clearly seem to be pleased by Deila and his comments. Since the Norwegian won the Premiership title in both of his seasons at Parkhead, he has certainly played a crucial role in Celtic reaching nine titles in a row. In that sense, Celtic fans are right to respect him for his contributions to the club.
