Some Celtic fans have slammed Tom English after he recently relayed a tweet on social media.
The BBC journalist recently shared a tweet from Dunfermline Athletic, who had issued a player update. The update talked about how the club has released 17 players due to the ‘uncertain’ times of the pandemic.
Many Celtic fans flocked to the journalist’s tweet. They slammed him and some even criticised his journalistic abilities.

Does this tweet show English's anti-Celtic stance?
Of course it does
I don't think so
You’re a bit late Tom… Was it a late one in the Dingwall Dungeon.

All clubs will be cutting their cloth to suit available finances and you know it. Poor show from you for quite some time now… losing what credibility you have left

Not sure what your point is Tom.
You’re just repeating what Dunfermline have already stated— Brendan O’Malley (@BampotBrendan) May 22, 2020
The player update from Dunfermline had stated that the club is not in a position to offer new contracts to players. The statement said that because there is no clarity about when the games will be played in the future, they want to ‘protect’ the future of the club. They went on to name the 17 players whose contracts will run out and won’t be renewed.
What do we think?
Celtic fans don’t seem to be pleased with English. His tweet doesn’t show any bias against Celtic, but he’s already admitted to being a Rangers fan. So that could be one big reason why Celtic fans don’t like him too much.
