Some Celtic fans have slammed BBC Sport journalist Tom English after he recently put out a post on Twitter.
English’s latest tweet saw him share an older tweet of his, which concerned Celtic’s Old Firm rivals’ statement about them having ‘evidence’ against the SPFL in light of the recent voting controversy.
English relayed this and said that the revelation about Rangers’ evidence could be ‘vindication’ or a ‘humiliation’.
On seeing this tweet, many Celtic fans were left angry. They slammed English for many reasons and they made their opinions clear.
You tell us Tom , you’ve been hanging to the narrative that’s been pushed by certain clubs since day one one.
Have you backed the wrong horse ?— Highland__Paddy (@Highland__paddy) May 4, 2020
Is Tom English biased against Celtic?
Of course he is
He's not
Why the question marks? You’ve got the texts, surely you know they have nothing

More accusations, why wouldn’t they? the media will just stay silent if it were Celtic firing serious accusations the media would destroy them and you KNOW IT.

Their behaviour is only worthy of ridicule , we all know their agenda and slimy wee Robertson sits on the Board, knowing everything
Anything credible would’ve been leaked by now

No doubt you will find some way to defend Rangers Tom, no matter what is produced.

Celtic’s fierce rivals Rangers previously released a statement noting that they have ‘evidence’ against the SPFL’s behaviour with regards to the recent vote on the fate of the Scottish football season. The vote had seen the SPFL confirm that the leagues below the Premiership have ended and decided on a points-per-game basis. BBC Sport had confirmed on Friday that Rangers are set to show their evidence this week.
What do we think?
The comments of the Celtic fans show that they feel English is biased in favour of Rangers. But his tweet doesn’t exactly show that he is favouring Rangers as he’s just pointing to the two possibilities.
But since Celtic have a 13-point lead at the top of the table, it could be argued they would want to see the situation resolved soon so that they can discover the fate of the current Premiership campaign.
