Some Celtic fans have slammed Lorenzo Amoruso after some of his comments about the Parkhead side recently emerged.

Amoruso was recently talking to the Daily Record. He said that beating Celtic now that they are after their 10th Premiership title in a row is a ‘complicated’ task.

He also said that winning 10 Premiership titles in a row is a difficult thing to achieve for the Hoops as they will be the ‘target’ for managers next season. He also talked about how Celtic have won four Premiership titles ‘without Rangers’ in the league.

Celtic were handed the Premiership title last Monday, while Hearts were relegated from the Scottish first division. The Hoops were 13 points clear at the top of the table and had played Rangers three times in all competitions. They beat the Gers twice, beating them in the League Cup final and in the league earlier in the season (via Transfermarkt).

Many other Celtic fans made their negative opinions about Amoruso known. They were very clear about it.

One fan even stated that he’s meant to be reporter of the year, which relates to him winning journalist of the year.

Amoruso’s past links with Rangers make him an easy target for Celtic fans. The Italian defender was with the Gers for as many as six years. His comments don’t exactly portray Celtic in a positive light and go onto cast doubts about whether they can win the title once again next season.

Celtic fans can only hope that their team proves Amoruso wrong and wins another Premiership title next season.
