Some Celtic fans have slammed Alex Rae after he made some comments about the SPFL recently.
The Scottish Sun recently spoke to Rae in an interview. In that, the former player said that it is a “wee bit naive” for the SPFL to say that there is no evidence against them. He said that the authorities aren’t willing to “look at some of this stuff”. Rae also went on to say that he isn’t “sure” about what Celtic’s relationship with the SPFL really is.
The Scottish Sun relayed some quotes from this interview on Twitter. Many Celtic fans flocked to it and made their anger for Rae clear.
So a guy with zero inside knowledge tells the CE of the biggest club in the country that he is talking nonsense. I think I know who I will believe. Alex trying hard to be the new John Brown….

Does Alex Rae's opinion matter?
It never will!
Of course it does
This guy has little relevance. His opinion matters not a jot, to Scottish Football.

“Wrongdoing”? Alex Rae had the audacity to use that word?
Delicious.

Not wanting to get personal. But the two guys in the photos, when it comes to a business discussion: it’s actually insulting to have them on the same page. Different leagues

In which way is it ludicrous?

This comes after the SPFL had confirmed that Rangers’ resolution for an independent investigation didn’t get enough votes from the Scottish clubs. The Gers had said that SPFL had resorted to bullying and coercion in the voting that was done last month to end all the Scottish leagues below the Premiership.
What do we think?
While Rae is certainly entitled to his opinion, the SPFL have already confirmed the results of the vote and that issue seems to be resolved. So any other opinion doesn’t matter anymore.
Considering Rae’s background as a Gers player, one can see why Celtic fans are angry at him and don’t have the most pleasing things to say.
