Some Celtic fans have been fuming at the latest tweet that BBC journalist Tom English recently relayed on social media recently.
English’s latest tweet saw him quote-retweet a post from Labour peer George Foulkes. Foulkes had posted a video asking the UK government to ‘call on’ UEFA to investigate the SPFL’s decision to end the league seasons in Scotland early.
Many Celtic fans flocked to this tweet from English. They made their displeasure for the journalist very clear, while others slammed Foulkes.

Unbelievable, but then again after a few years in the House of Lords possibly not that surprising, wonderful that our unelected politicians think this is important

This comes days after an SPFL board meeting on Monday confirmed that Celtic as Premiership champions. They had also confirmed that Hearts – Foulkes’ club – would get relegated. Last month, the SPFL had confirmed the ending of the leagues below the Premiership.
What do we think?
While some Celtic fans have slammed Foulkes, others have mocked English for not talking about how Celtic have been crowned the champions.
Foulkes is clearly taking an anti-SPFL stance. English has done the same in the past, and his tweets show that. It suggests why Celtic fans don’t have a liking for them as the SPFL’s decision to end the Premiership season has handed them the title. They certainly won’t like to lose out on the title should Foulkes somehow manage to persuade the government to look into Monday’s decision.
